Nicky Blackmarket was born in the west end. Started DJing at 15 at house parties. Was a resident DJ on pirate radio in the late 80’s. He co-owned the infamous Blackmarket Records from 1990, a beloved institution for all house, hardcore, Junglist’s and DnB heads. Started the record label Kartoons in ‘97. He is known as Nicky 9 jobs, due to the amount of sets he plays every weekend, both locally and internationally. He has spent decades pioneering, championing, influencing and shaping the scene as we know it. Nicky doesn’t like DnB, Nicky Blackmarket is DnB.
